BZIS provides a range of quality services to its students and community including transportation, food, security, and health services.
Lunch Services
Your child will have the option of bringing food to the school or selecting a meal to be eaten during the daily recess of lunch. For lunches brought in by your child we offer a microwave oven if heating of the food is necessary. If your child decides to eat the food available at the school there will be a nominal charge for that service.
Currently, we offer Chinese meals 5 days a week. In addition, on Tuesdays and Thursdays we also will offer western style food such as sub sandwiches, pizza, spaghetti, etc. Fees for this service are 10 yuan for Chinese meals and 25 yuan for the western meals that are selected. Lunch orders are generally issued on the 23rd day of each month for the upcoming month and notices are sent home with your child. Fees for the lunches are expected to be paid to the Accounting Department prior to the end of each month.

Transportation
BZIS offers safe, comfortable buses to transport our students to and from school each day. Fees are based on how far away the student lives from the school. Currently the fees range from $1,000-$1,200 annually and are prorated for refund requests.
Health Services
BZIS has a clinic staffed by a qualified nurse who can treat minor injuries, perform first aid, administer medications, perform health screening, and maintains the student’s health records. If in any event a student requires the nurse’s assistance, the parents are advised verbally and a full report is made documenting the need, steps taken, and recommendations for further treatment. This report will be sent home with the student with a copy remaining in our files.
Security
As the caretaker of your child each school day, BZIS views security as an important issue. BZIS provides a comprehensive security service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Students, parents, and staff are required to show their BZIS ID cards before entrance is allowed to the school. All visitors must register at the front gate where visitor passes will be issued. |
